Best ever VCE results!
It’s official! Haileybury Rendall School’s 2023 VCE results are the best on record.
In an outstanding effort, 37% of our Year 12 students achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 90 or above – placing them in the top 10% of students in the country. This is an incredible achievement.
Building on this success, 60% of our Year 12 students achieved an ATAR of 82 – another impressive result that places each of those young people in the top 18% of students in Australia.
Haileybury Rendall School’s median ATAR of 85.6 was also a record-breaker for the School.
Dux ATAR was achieved by Vina Armand.

“The achievements of our Year 12 VCE class of 2023 are exceptional and these hard-working, down-to-earth and dedicated students are to be congratulated,” says HRS Principal, Andrew McGregor.
“These brilliant VCE outcomes are not accidental. They are the combined result of the strong work ethic of our students and the commitment of our brilliant and dedicated teachers who are always prepared to go the extra mile to support every student’s learning.”
Andrew also recognised the importance of HRS’s strong and consistent executive leadership that has been fostered over the past several years.
“Strong and consistent leadership means we are continually building and embedding strategies and practices that prioritise a committed work ethic and positive learning culture among all our students,” he says.
“Quality teaching is reinforced at all year levels – and certainly through the dedication and knowledge of our VCE teachers who have helped our students deliver at the pointy end of their education. The respect and collaboration between our staff and students are invaluable and truly unique in the Territory.”
While the 2023 VCE results are impressive, all 42 Year HRS graduates are acknowledged and congratulated for their hard work and for their commitment to their learning, to their classmates and to their teachers.
“I am not the only member of staff at HRS who feels extremely proud of the class of 2023,” says Andrew.
“They have been a united, engaged, dedicated and inspiring group of young people. We wish them all the best for 2024 and beyond.”
