Joanna joins us from Cairns where she was Head of Secondary at Trinity Anglican School. She brings an extensive background in educational leadership, change and innovation in curriculum and student wellbeing.
As Director of Teaching and Learning at Melbourne Girls Grammar, Joanna led the implementation of a cutting-edge blended learning model in the Senior Years that deconstructed the traditional timetable and gave students greater flexibility in shaping their day and taking ownership of their learning. In 2020, Joanna also developed the school’s successful secondary Remote Learning Model.
She holds a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne that saw her spend part of her study in Chiang Mai exploring global education and citizenship and how to develop global citizens in the school environment. Joanna also has qualifications in Cognitive Psychology and Educational Leadership and Management.
Joanna is excited about the future of education and how technology can be harnessed to personalise teaching to suit different learning styles and bring high-quality education within the reach of many more students.
