Wrapping up with an exciting Brisbane adventure

To celebrate graduating Year 12, Haileybury Rendall School Stars students flew to Brisbane with an action-packed itinerary.

The group travelled around Brisbane and the Gold Coast visiting Australia Zoo and Movie World and they had a private tour of the Gold Coast Suns AFL Facilities led by club legend, Jarrod Harbrow. The girls were lucky enough to meet Indigenous players Benny Long, Malcolm Rosas Jnr, Joel Jeffrey, and Sean Lemmens, who are all from Darwin, and they met co-captain Jarrod Witts. The group had a VIP access tour of Suncorp Stadium before watching an international soccer match between the Australian Women’s Soccer Team, the Matildas verse Brazil! After the match, a couple of lucky Stars members met goalkeeper, Teagan Micah! To end the trip, what’s a holiday without a little shopping at Westfield?!

For some in this group, it was their first time leaving the Northern Territory and their first time flying on a plane! Such an amazing trip for the group.

A big thank you to the Gold Coast Suns AFL Club and Football Australia for having us.
