Farewell to the Class of 2024

In the final two weeks of term, we have seen the Class of 2024 take their last significant steps as Haileybury students, marking an end to their secondary education journey. For our Unit 3/4 students, VCE exams have commenced, bringing both excitement and a sense of finality.

This week, our Stars and Clontarf programs celebrated the achievements of all our students, with a special focus on our departing Year 12s. Wednesday and Thursday nights were dedicated to recognizing their efforts, hard work, and contributions, and the seniors finished the week on a nostalgic note. On Thursday, each Year 12 student honoured their childhood by dressing as they did in a favourite childhood photo, and on Friday, the entire school community gathered for a heartfelt Graduation Assembly to officially farewell the Class of 2024.

A highlight of the final week was Clontarf's Friday Footy, where departing Year 12 students Max, Rahiri, Robin, and Relton took the field for their last games. These senior players, who have been leaders and role models to younger students, received well-deserved recognition from peers and coaches alike as they wrapped up their time on the team.

Congratulations to Year 10 students Sonny, Jaren and Mazlan have been selected to represent the Northern Territory in an Interstate State of Origin Clontarf Football Competition held in Melbourne—marking them as the first Year 10 students to earn a place on the NT team. In addition, Year 12 students Max and Robin have been chosen to represent Clontarf NT, showcasing their talents as some of the best footballers in the Northern Territory. They will compete against top players from Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia in Melbourne, a prestigious opportunity that highlights their skills and dedication.

As the senior school bids farewell to the Class of 2024, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on all they have accomplished. We wish them success in their exams and the very best as they embark on their future ambitions.
