Senior School news

Welcome back as we begin Term 3. For Unit 3/4 students, Term 3 will be a very busy few weeks of study and completion of assessments in preparation for the VCAA exams.

Events

Term 2 wrapped up with a series of events, highlighted by the first-ever Year 12 Formal. Following months of meticulous planning, students had the opportunity to enjoy an evening of dancing in elegant attire. The event also saw staff joining in on the dance floor, making cameo appearances throughout the night. A heartfelt thank you and congratulations go to the dedicated students who served on the Formal committee: Lakshya, Charlise, Rose, Isaiah, Enah, Kira, Chiara, Chelsea, and Max.

Student achievement

Students at Haileybury Rendall School engage in a diverse range of extracurricular activities, including the Senior School Soccer Gala Day held at the end of June. Congratulations to all participants for demonstrating sportsmanship and teamwork. Special recognition goes to Kaan, who achieved a silver medal in his weight division at the Australian Judo National Championships on the Gold Coast in June. This remarkable accomplishment underscores Kaan’s dedication and hard work. Well done, Kaan!

Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to Tom and Freddie from Haileybury Turnford UK, who are currently on exchange for the first three weeks of term before continuing to Melbourne. Year 10 students Sam and Madison have been chosen to participate in the Principal’s Exchange to Haileybury Melbourne for Term 3. Congratulations to Sam and Madison, and best wishes for a fulfilling experience!
