Resilience shines through

House Cross Country was a great spectacle of House spirit, competition, and resilience. In hot conditions, our students showed their commitment by donning their House shirts and sports shoes to run, jog, or walk around the School, earning points for participation.

It was wonderful to see so many students enjoying the experience, either cheering on friends or running past the crowd. We witnessed some fantastic individual performances with Timothy and Darcie winning the Year 7 races; Bronte and Jacob winning Year 8; and Michael and Macey winning Year 9. Across the Middle and Senior Schools, the winning House was Djarrak. Congratulations to all involved.

The weekend saw two Middle School teams enter the Tournament of the Minds competition, held at Dripstone Middle School on Saturday. Students performed a ‘long term’ challenge and a ‘spontaneous’ challenge, stretching their thinking, creativity and collaboration skills. Out of the four teams HRS entered, three teams won the competition, earning the opportunity to travel to Sydney for the International Finals. This is a fantastic achievement of which we are very proud. Congratulations to all students and staff involved!
