Decking the halls with carols and celebration

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) was filled with excitement and pride as we celebrated the end of an incredible year with a vibrant music concert and a heartfelt graduation ceremony.

The festivities began with a spectacular music concert that showcased the talents of our young performers. The concert featured two year levels, each bringing their unique energy and creativity to the stage. Our Reception class charmed the audience with their delightful songs and rhythms, confidently demonstrating the skills they had developed throughout the year. Following this, the Preschool classes performed an impressive set of songs and musical pieces, leaving the crowd in awe of their coordination and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see how music had become a source of joy and connection for these young learners.

An audience of 250 parents, family members, and friends packed the hall, their smiles and cheers creating a warm and supportive atmosphere. The children, energised by the encouragement, performed beautifully, and their excitement was contagious.

The morning continued with a very special graduation ceremony for 44 of our Preschool students. Each graduate was called forward to receive their certificate, presented by Principal Mr McGregor. It was a touching moment to witness, as the children beamed with pride while their families applauded their accomplishments. The ceremony was a true celebration of their growth and readiness for the next step in their educational journey.

To top off this milestone, the graduates were given a memorable send-off. Their older school buddies lined up to form a Guard of Honor, clapping and cheering as the Preschoolers walked through. This tradition symbolises the transition to the next stage of their schooling and was a beautiful demonstration of the sense of community we value at Haileybury Rendall School.

The celebrations concluded with a morning tea, where families, children, and staff came together to enjoy delicious treats and reflect on the achievements of the year. Cameras were in full swing as families captured precious memories, commemorating this significant day.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and, most importantly, our amazing children. This day was a testament to the wonderful spirit of our ELC community. We are so proud of our graduates and can’t wait to see what they achieve in the future. To all our ELC families, we wish you a joyful holiday season and look forward to another fantastic year ahead.
