Clontarf Origin

Term 4 has been a sensational time with the Haileybury Rendall School Academy members returning from their holidays with a sense of energy and enthusiasm towards finishing what has been a wonderful year.

Our four Year 12s received their graduation and delivered four memorable speeches. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Max, Robin, Rahiri and Relton thanked the staff, teachers, boarding staff and of course the Clontarf staff for supporting them to finish Year 12 successfully. On to bigger and better things for these tremendous young men.

Congratulations to all this year’s award winners. What an outstanding effort to win these awards amongst such an incredible group of students.

This year, the Clontarf State of Origin was held in Melbourne where the best Clontarf football players from each state gather and represent their respective states. Selected in the team from HRS were Year 12 students Robin and Max and Year 10 students Mazlan, Sonny and Jaren. A massive congratulations to Sonny, Mazlan and Max who made it to the All-Australian Team with Max being named captain.

Looking back on 2024 we can see such growth and development in our Academy Members. The Clontarf Academy would like to thank Haileybury Rendall School for allowing us to run this program with these amazing young men. We would like to thank the HRS boarding staff for everything they do to care and support the students while away from school. Finally, we thank the teachers and staff of the HRS community. You all put in so much hard work to keep the students on task and developing their education.

We wish you all a very happy holiday break. Please spend as much time as you can with family and friends and recharge those batteries for what should be an even better year in 2025.

We look forward to seeing you all again and of course, spending some quality time with the students as they start another year!
