A fantastic start to the year

What an incredible start to 2025 for the Clontarf Academy! Our 47 Academy members have been busy with a wide range of programs designed to support their growth and development.

We kicked off the year with an Induction Camp for our new members, fostering the Clontarf spirit and introducing them to the Academy’s values. For our Year 12 students, we hosted a Leadership Camp to Batchelor to help them develop the skills necessary for their roles as leaders at the school and in the Clontarf Academy.

In addition, we took students from grades 8-11 on an Engagement Camp to Jabiru, providing a meaningful cultural experience, including the amazing Yellow Water Cruise.

Our students have also participated in eight Tuesday Morning Sessions, which focus on personal development, and Friday Footy sessions, which promote fitness and teamwork among staff and students.

Our sporting events included a Senior and Middle Years Basketball carnival and a Senior Football carnival, where students demonstrated their skills and enjoyed friendly competition.

We also organised an Employment Forum for Year 11 students, giving them insight into career pathways and opportunities.

To further support our students, we held an afternoon Basketball competition, offering more chances for physical activity, and Wellbeing sessions after school, emphasising mental and emotional health.

It’s been a fantastic term filled with growth, connection, and achievement, setting a strong foundation for the rest of the year. We’re excited to see our members continue to thrive!

Thank you to all staff who have assisted us with the term. We’re looking forward to Term 2.
