In honour of some very special community members, the Haileybury Rendall School ELC came together to celebrate family with a special breakfast.
Due to the COVID restrictions earlier in the year, we couldn’t celebrate Mothers Day as usual, so we combined Mothers and Fathers Day in this fun celebration.
What was done out of necessity ended up with a wonderful outcome. It was wonderful to see the mothers, fathers, grandparents, carers, friends and other family members enjoy a lovely breakfast together followed by some activities.
There was a woodworking station to create keepsakes and fishing in the sandpit for some fun competition!
The students and families also had an opportunity to make their own family books with photos and messages, as well as paint some beautiful family portraits.
Family is a very important part of our lives and this event was a wonderful showcase of love and support for our youngest students.
It was great to see everyone together, learning that family isn’t always about being connected biologically, but being with the people who make you smile.
The best part of life is when your family become friends and when your friends become family. Thank you for making us part of your family.
