Class of 2024 VCE results

Haileybury Rendall School celebrates another great year of VCE results.

NEWS 12 Dec 2024

An impressive 26% of Haileybury Rendall School students have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 90 or above, proudly placing them in the top 10% of students in the country.

The release of the Year 12 Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) results also saw almost 50% of our students achieve an ATAR of 80 or above.

The Dux of HRS, Eva Susanto, achieved an outstanding near-perfect ATAR score of 98.85 – and Eva’s success makes it a ‘Double Dux’ for the Susanto family. Eva’s brother, Peter, was Dux of the school three years ago and is the 2024 NT Young Australian of the Year.

The Dux Proximus, Bonnie Peacocke, received an ATAR of 98.65 with a perfect score of 50 for VCE English. Freya Wills was the Indigenous Dux with an ATAR of 95.90. Well done to each of these students on an amazing achievement.

We are also very proud that 15 of our VCE students in 2024 were Indigenous, with 12 of those students coming from very remote parts of the Northern Territory.

Haileybury Rendall School Principal, Andrew McGregor, says the number of Indigenous students completing their VCE and being able to move on to tertiary education or to follow their ideal pathways beyond HRS is a significant achievement for them and for the school.

“We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment of all our wonderful students, particularly those young people who moved from very remote parts of the Northern Territory to study at our school. They and their families can take great pride in successfully completing their VCE journey”

“Haileybury Rendall School has a relatively short history, but in that short period of time our students have worked hard to achieve impressive VCE results – year in and year out. This year is no exception and the class of 2024 have done themselves, their teachers and the school proud.”

Andrew also highlighted the expertise, commitment and support of the brilliant teachers and staff at our school and their contribution to the students’ results. He wished the class of 2024 continued and well-deserved success.

“Each of the students celebrating their VCE results have supported each other during the past few years – those years when academic studies become even more serious and demanding – and they have supported each other with kindness and encouragement,” he says.

“By achieving the VCE results they have today, they have paved the way forward. Many of those young people are now poised to pursue the tertiary studies of their choice. As a school community, we look forward to witnessing their future successes.”
